WRITE
N PEACE
An Essay Contest sponsored by the Interfaith Center for Peace and Justice
The Interfaith Center for Peace and Justice is pleased to announce the winners for Write On Peace, an essay contest for Adams County students in 9th or 10th grade. We challenged the students to imagine they had $50,000 to spend or donate in some way to promote peace, and asked them to explain how they would use the money and how this contribution would further the cause of peace.
Winners of the contest are Nick Czajkowski, Nick Wheatley, and Daniel Bavaro, all of Littlestown Christian Academy. Denise Weldon-Siviy was the guest speaker at a ceremony honoring these students held at the Adams County Public Library on December 11th. Click on the students' names to read their winning essays.
