Tuesday, March 8: Two former death-row inmates (Madison Hobley and Billy Moore) will speak on their experiences on death row and their views of the death penalty. 7:00 pm, Knott Auditorium, Mount St. Mary's University. They will also address the lifting of the Maryland Moratorium and the impending Maryland execution of Vernon Evans in April. This event is part of a semester-long series on the death penalty designed to encourage campus-wide discussion of social justice issues. Thursday, March 10: IONA in Concert. 7:30 pm, Knott Auditorium, Mount St. Mary's University. Join us for an evening of high energy traditional music of Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, Brittany (France), Asturias and Galicia (Spain) and our own American Celtic Cultures by IONA, one of the leading Celtic performance groups in the Mid-Atlantic region. Their music and dance will explore the rich history of the Celtic people. Sponsored by the Center for Intercultural Development at Mount St. Mary's.

UUG holds weekly Sunday services at 3:00 PM at Trinity UCC, Stratton & High Sts., Gettysburg, PA. Religious education for our young people is a top priority. Church of Berks County, located in Reading, PA. Rev. Fees presents “The Art of Imperfection.” We Unitarian Universalists are notorious for our striving and for our efforts toward achievement. Self-improvement is a worthy goal, but is perfection? What would it mean to practice the art of imperfection instead? Refreshments follow service.
March 13. Rev. John T. Morehouse, Minister of the UU Congregation of Frederick; his topic is "Letting Go." Rev. John Morehouse explores the power of forgiveness as a spiritual practice. Potluck follows service.
March 20. Dr. Kristen Urban, Political Science Department, Mount St. Mary's University: “Islamic Perspectives on Human Rights: Contradictions in the Middle East Today.” The talk will explore the values within Islamic tradition that correspond with Western notions of human rights and the political complexities that account for the state of Human Rights in the Middle East today. Refreshments follow service.
March 27. Rev. Ron Crawford, Pastoral Minister of theUnitarian Universalist Congregation of Frederick: “A Community of Communities.” Rev. Crawford focuses on the role of relational groups in the development of effective congregations. Refreshments follow service.
