September 12: Rev. Carol Ann Taylor, Faith Development Program Consultant, Joseph Priestley District, presents "Looking Back - Visioning the Future" For a Unitarian Universalist Congregation, it is always good to remember and respect its history and traditions. It is also very important to have a vision of what it can be into the future. No vision gets realized without intentionality, hard work and determination on the part of the collective community. What bold visions does the UUs of Gettysburg community hold in its collective heart? This will be a time of exploring the potential for you as a representative of some long held concepts and values of the larger UU faith community. Please join me on this your first day of the new year. Potluck follows service.
September 19: Rev. Robert F. Renjilian, Minister of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of York. The Rev. Bob Renjilian presents "Facing Fear."
What are you afraid of? I believe our religious growth -- indeed most
of our success in living life -- comes from being open to discovering
more about our fears. I will weave together wisdom from many Eastern
religious teachings and good old American common sense. Refreshments follow service.
